Because of this every citizen of India, whether they reside in India or out of country, attaches importance to this day. This day also serves as a reminder of the battles won by freedom fighters and the victims who gave their lives for freedom.
The struggle that our freedom fighters endured demonstrates to us that hundreds of people’s lives were sacrificed in order to achieve the freedom we take for granted today. Each Indian is sparked by it to feel patriotic. It enlightens the younger generation about the sufferings of those who live nearby and introduces them to the liberation warriors of India.

On this day, schools and other institutions raise the tricolor. Everywhere in the nation, people rejoice greatly on Independence Day.Meetings are held, the tricolor flag is flown, and the National Anthem is sung. Everyone is quite enthusiastic. This day is honored in the nation’s capital, Delhi, with a lot of fanfare. On the parade area in front of the Red Fort, all leaders and commoners assemble in great numbers to await the arrival of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister hoists the National Flag after which he delivers a speech that highlights the accomplishments of the government over the previous year, identifies the problems that still need to be solved, and encourages further progress. The freedom fighters who gave their lives in the conflict are remembered. A song called “Jana Gana Mana” is the Indian National Anthem. A parade by the Indian Army and paramilitary troops are taken place.
